What a Rebel

You know those times when you know you REALLY should be doing something yet you end up doing something else? Like finishing a thank you letter instead of reading the next page in a book. Or listening to someone instead of writing? And you feel bad because you konw you really should be doing that specific thing but you just can't bring yourself to do so.

Today was just one of those days. I wrote a good two pages of a story I had an idea for, but I really should have been listening to the other person speak. Its alright though, I have a feeling, that I didn't miss a thing. There was a packet accompanying the presentation that had everything said.

I still feel like I should have listened. But I think I was much more productive.

Adios,

Ellette

New art

So I've started some new projects, which is exciting. I want to start working with my watercolours again but I've had zero inspiration to do so.
Writing seems to be in a bit of a slum as well- my characters are fighting with me quite vehemently and refuse to be written correctly, if they let me write them at all. *Sigh*
Ah well. If I have to force myself to write then so be it. I'll just plow through.
Wish me luck

Fantasy

So I finally got around to writing the story of two of my characters. They fought me for a time and their story was scrambled but finally, it's all settled down and figured out. Thank the gods. On that note, my DeviantArt is growing and it's almost time to trim it down. I really hate cleaning the gallery but it has to be done.

Random?

I was bored the other day so I decided to write (what else? :D ). Instead of working on one of my usual stories, I wrote this clip that randomly popped into my mind. I figured that I might as well share it with you. Its barely edited, if that. Here it is:

The enormous double doors swung open in perfect unison, pulled by two identically dressed men. They were unnoticeable and even I, who notices most of everything, almost passed over them without second thought. Stepping into the room I saw a general splendor that was to be expected, but it was much more beautiful than ostentatious unlike I had expected. The walls were covered with thick tapestries sporting the colours red , green, brown, and others on the darker side, yet they were not unwelcoming. There were poles on the walls, perfectly spaced out with golden features. Nearing the top of each pole was a carved, ornate golden lamp. The ceilings reached high and I would not be surprised if they were the height of the entire building. The room, if it could be called such, quite simply took my breath away.

I don't know if this will ever go anywhere. Sorry if its confusing at all, I just imagined this room and tried to describe it as well as I could.

p.s. I know I don't need to say this, but: this belongs to me. Don't use. :D

Anniversary

Hello anyone who is currently reading.
Today, on the 21st of August, I celebrate the anniversary of two characters that are very close to my heart. Ellette suggested that I should post about it, and so here I am, informing you of the said anniversary between a lovely young woman and the madman she is in love with.
Congratulations for one year. <3

Salutations

Hey everyone that is interested in this new blog or somehow made it to this page and is still reading. So here's the deal. This summer I was talking to a dear friend of mine and randomly said, "Hey. Lets make a blog." And so we decided that we would. And now we are.

Lets introduce ourselves, shall we? I'm Ellette. You can call me Elle, but my full name is perferred. My friend's name is Bellatrix (no. she wasn't named after the character in Harry Potter. She was already born before that.) You can call her Bella but if you even think about the relationship between that name and Twilight... I wouldn't recommend it.

A bit about me... hmm. Lets try a game. We'll go in a circle and answer a few things about ourselves (follow my lead, please leave it in a comment :D)

I'm Ellette. If I could have any pet I would have a possum named Hazzy (short for Haskill). My favourite colour is red. I'm from America but I tend to add the 'u'. And... hmm... My favourite author is Jane Austen (Pride and Prejudice is my favourite by her, closely followed by Northanger Abbey). I'm an aspiring writer, and generally am flooded with too many ideas that they overwhelm the time that I have to actually write.

Bellatrix:

Hello. As you know, my "name" is Bellatrix. No, not from HP, though I'm in love with the series. And, as Elle warned you, my name has NOTHING to do with Twilight. Thank you. My favourite colours are purple, green, black, silver and gold. (Ditto on those for Elle.) If I could have any animal it would probably be a giant salamander or snake. My favourite authors are J.R.R Tolkien, David Eddings and Alexandre Dumas, though reading is not really my top pastime anymore. I too am a writer, preferring to create my own world and rules. Much love. <3

Elle again:

Well its been fun introducing ourselves; if you want you can just leave a comment saying the same. Or something like it. Or just say hi. I hope you come back sometime. And maybe comment again. I like comments. :D

And off we go...
